The marriage of Miss Janet Kaye Maddox of Richmond to Ronald Mitchell Dougherty of King George took place December 21 at Parham Road Baptist Church in Richmond.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Florida Jewell Maddox of Richmond and the late George W. Maddox. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael R. Dougherty of Washington.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother, William L. Maddox of Richmond.
The double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. William 0. Dillard Jr. and music was by Mrs. Joyce M. Dillard.
Daniel Thomas Maddox of Petersburg, brother of the bride, performed “The Wedding Song,” and William L. Maddox sang “0 Holy Night.”
The bride wore an ivory eyelet wedding gown. Her gown had a scoop neck with leg-of-mutton sleeves accented with a small bow. Her gown had a drop basque waistline. Her full skirt fell to floor length and then flared to an elegant chapel length with a scallop hemline.
She adorned her head with a floral wreath and taffeta roses. A bow with long streamers adorned the back of her headpiece and the elbow length illusion had a lace trim. She
