The potential blight of more used metal on our “avenue to the mountains” is a sad thought indeed. Rappahannock County is one of the more beautiful places to live in America. What is the real point of living nere or encouraging vistors to Rappahannock if our landscape is V ei ed with used car lots? What comes next? McDonalds. Vistors could stay at home and see those things. Many of our local businesses depend on revenue generated by visitors. To an eyesore a visitor will not come. This kind of thing happens time and again. Many who think they can make some money are going to apply for special use permits that change beautiful agricultural land into commercially spoiled tracts. Do we want Route 211 to become another Broadview Avenue?
