percentage of male students both on and off campus, not just the 1980 residential percentage; the extent of nonrecognition of the name^JVlary Washington College, when the Washington Post, th^JVew York Times, and Cfianging Times have listed Mary Washington one of the best buys in education; and the specific results of all of the surveys given in early 1985.
The name change has received alot of attention in the Federicksburg but is not well known throughout the state. The college has planned it that way. To have any hope of defeating the proposed name change in the 1986 session of the General Assembly we are asking the citizens of Rappahannock County to contact their local delegates and state senators by January. We hope that the Virginia General Assembly has the foresight that the current Board of Visitors lacks.
