workshop this year were on water, forests, soil and animal habitat. There was also a land use simulation unit.
One full day was devoted to water conservation; leaders were John Judy and Lynn Hodges of the Tennessee Valley Authority. Other speakers were E. F. Peffer of the U.S.D.A. Forest Service and Dick Cook, Virginia’s Deputy Secretary of Resources.
Mrs. Nordone discussed details of the Process and Problem-solving approach to Environmental Education, with its emphasis on involvement and showing that “None of us is as smart as all of us.” Mrs. Sharp presented the “Facilitator” concept of leadership whereby responsibility for learning falls directly on the participant than on the “teacher.” Mrs. Cannon described all the experiences and happenings of the three days at Nature Camp that made the event so special.

It is open to the public and is intended to help citizens to be effective in influencing sound policy by asking informed questions at the proper time of the right people; to serve on advisory and policy making committees
