information
To the editor:
I would like to clarify the statements that were made in the political ad the week of October 23. I fear that despite the candidate’s intelligence and education, certain statements appearing in the paper may have been misleading to the recipient as well as the voters of Rappahannock County.
To try to set the record straight: the Constitutional officers work closely with the Board of Supervisors in preparing statistics to help the supervisors render decisions. All of the Constitutional officers have always’ worked very closely with their surrounding counties and each and every Constitutional officer (both past and present) belongs to their own statewide association. The numerous seminars that are offered and that we attend help keep us abreast of the changing laws that affect each individual office.
