Club will meet Monday night, November 1 at 7:30 p.m. at Amissville Baptist Church. The club is making stuffed animals to be distributed by the American Red Cross to U.S. Naval Hospital, Bethesda, Md. and to Walter Reed Army Hospital, Washington, D.C. on Christmas Day. Patterns and instructions will be given at this meeting. ,

Marine Private John B.
Summers Jr., 20, son of John B. Summers Sr. of Washington, has completed recruit training at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C. A 1974 graduate of Rappahannock County High School, he joined the Marine Corps in June 1976.
The annual Achievement Night program of the Homemaker’s Clubs of Rappahannock County is scheduled for Monday night, November 8 in the Flint Hill fire hall. The program, which begins at 7:30 p.m. will include exhibits, awards, a silent auction, a speaker and refreshments.
