SANITARY LANDFILL
EVALUATION Rappahannock County, Virginia
The County of Rappahannock hereby solicits proposals from qualified solid waste management planning and engineering firms to conduct geologic and hydrogeologic investigations, and develop design alternatives to include cost estimates for a proposed sanitary landfill.
The work to be performed shall include, but is not limited to, the conduct and analysis of test borings and the preparation of engineering design drawings and specifications for a site specific sanitary landfill facility.
Those wishing to submit proposals shall do so in writing by November 3, 1986. Proposals shall be mailed to P.O. Box 222, Washington, Va. 22747. The competitive negotiation procedure for professional services set forth in Chapter 7 of Title 11 of the Code of Virginia shall apply. To be acceptable a proposal must contain: 1) a statement as to the name, address and telephone number of the bidder, 2) the qualifications and experience of the bidder, 3) the cost or hourly rate proposed; and 4) be signed.
The contract negotiated with the winning bidder may include a provision for the supervision of construction. The winning bidder will be required to sign a contract with the County of Rappahannock.
