Christmas Story in pantomime

The Trinity Episcopal Church will present “The Story of Christmas” on Sunday, Dec. 18 at 4:30 p.m. at the church in Washington. The public is invited to join the congregation in telling the Christmas story in traditional carols which will be sung as the story is acted out in pantomime. It will be an opportunity for all to join in expressing the joy of Christmas as told in song. Gifts of food for the needy are also invited, there will be a time during the service for the offerings to be presented at the front of the sanctuary.

Winter concert at RCHS

The Rappahannock County High School Band will have its winter concert on Monday, Dec. 19 at 7:30 p.m. at the high school auditorium. Included in the program will be a Christmas sing-along. All are welcome.

Pottery exhibit and sale

A hand-made pottery exhibit and sale will be held at the Mountain Store in Criglersville on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 17 and 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be potters from 12 states including Cliff Losee of Maryland, Lisa Clark of Madison and Winter Creek Pottery in Gaplin, Md. Some other states include North Dakota, Texas, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Vermont among others. Santa Claus will also put in an appearance on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. For further information call 923-4349.

Dancing Reed studio opening

The public is invited to Dancing Reed natural design studio for a showing of baskets, medicine wheels, holiday arrangements, crystals and healing stones on Sunday, Dec. 18. The studio is located in the River House at Fletcher’s Mill, one mile from Sperryville on Rt. 655 and will be open from 2 until 8 p.m. For more information call Catherine Kiley at 987-3106.

Fruit pickup

RCHS music booster fruit pickup will be at the Rappahannock Coop on Dec. 15 and 16 from 3 to 5 p.m. Extra fruit will be available on Friday, the 16th.
