Alex Smith, Kerry Nuti and John Neel won first places in their respective divisions at Wakefield’s annual science fair held at the school in Huntly on Dec. 1 and 2.
Smith is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Smith of Persimmon Hill, Huntly. He won in Biology Section II for his project on the physical and psychological effects of cancer in humans.
Nuti’s project in Biology Section I was on DNA “fingerprints”; she is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nuti of Fort Madison, Iowa.
Neel, the son of Mrs. Faith R. Neel of Falls Church, won the Engineering/Technology division for his homemdade robot.
Both Nuti and Neel are living at Wakefield’s boarding lodge outside of Flint Hill.
