Plainfield, N.J.; two daughter-inlaws, Mrs. Hannah Jordan, Plainfield, N.J. and Mrs. Ethel Jordan, Elkins Park, Pa.; one son-in-law, Dr. F.W. Nicholas, Ettrick; one sister, Mrs. Frances Miller, one brother, William Jordan, Ambler, • Pa.; 13 grandchildren; 22 great• grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service was held at Bethel Baptist Church, Amissville Dec. 10 with the Rev. C. Alsberry of Strasburg officiating. Interment was in the family section of the church cemetery in Amissville.
W.C. Thompson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Alice Widmayer
Alice M. Widmayer, 72, of Hobe Sound, Fla., formerly of Fairfax and Amissville, died Dec. 6 at Fauquier Hospital. i Mrs. Widmayer was the wife of the late Harry E. Widmayer.
Survivors include one daughter, » Jeanne W. Bochette, Amissville; three sons, Joseph E., Annapolis, Md., Donald P., Leesburg and Mark C., Front Royal; one sister, Mary Melowich, Hobe Sound, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Precious Blood Catholic Church, Culpeper Dec. 9. Father Leo Zonneveld officiated. Interment was in Fairfax Memorial Park, Fairfax.
Carrie Hitt
Miss Carrie Elizabeth Hitt, 89, of Amissville, died Dec. 5 at her home.
Survivors include one sister, Miss Minnie L. Hitt, Amissville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Dec. 9 at Moser Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Parker officiating. Interment was in the family cemetery near Amissville.
