Byron Branham
Byron Welch Branham, 81, of Culpeper, died Dec. 8 at Culpeper Health Care Center.
Mr. Branham was bom June 20, 1907, in Greene County, the son of the late Ellis Samuel and Mary Ella Allen Branham. He was a retired construction worker and a member of the Culpeper Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Stringfellow Branham; one daughter, Glasselle Jenkins, Crozet; one son, Samuel Branham, Saint Marys City, Md; one step-daughter, Mrs. Rebecca Joyce Atkins, Sperryville; one step-son, Donald Richards, Culpeper; six sisters, Mrs. Willie Mae Hise and Mrs. Fannie Smith, both of Avon Park, Fla., Ms. Geneva Ladd and Miss Florence Branham, both of Strasburg, Mrs. Ruth Randolph, Elkwood and Mrs. Thedoisa Anderson, Arlington; one brother, James Albert Branham, Leon; five stepgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held Dec. 20 at the Clore Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. H.O. Browning officiating. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery.
Edgar Cave
Edgar Vernon Cave, 65, of Leon died Dec. 9 at his residence.
Mr. Cave was retired from the State Correctional System and a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a native of Madison and had lived in Leon for many years.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Frances Dodson and Gloria Jean Jenkins, both of Sperryville; two sons, Kenneth W. Cave, Casanova and L. Mike-Cave, Sperryville; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Cave, Leon; one brother, Herman E. Cave, Occoquan; and seven grandchildren.
