A graveside service was held Dec. 12 with the Rev. Gordon George officiating. Burial was in theFairview Cemetery.
Clore Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Harold Pettit
Harold Edward Pettit, 56, of New Market died Dec. 11 in New Market.
Mr. Pettit was bom July 9, 1932, in Page County, the son of the late Eula Pettit. He was employed as a security guard by Central Security Bureau of Harrisonburg. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and an Army veteran of the Korean conflict.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Blosser Pettit; one stepson, Thomas Gochenour, New Market; one stepdaughter, Betty Ann Lucas, Stanley; two sisters, Louise Richards, Luray and Lorraine Sisk, Sperryville; one brother, the Rev. H. Nelson Pettit, Timberville; and four stepgrandchildren.
A graveside service was held Dec. 14 in Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery in New Market with the Rev. George L. Sims and the Rev. H. Nelson Pettit officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the New Market Rescue Squad.
