Springtime Fantasies
The Rappahannock Women’s Club will have their annual fashion show on Sunday, March 12 at 2 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Elementary School. This year’s show, “Springtime Fantasies” will feature fashions from Frank’s and Warren Quality in Front Royal as well as fashions from Country Manor and The Faith Mountain Company in Sperryville.
Proceeds from the event will go to the annual scholarship for a Rappahannock County High School graduating senior and,the Rappahannock Library.

Kline to speak to Ruritans
Mr. Buck Kline, Virginia State Forester will be guest speaker at the Amissville Ruritans’ tegular monthly meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Amissville Baptist Church. Mr. Kline will discuss reforestation. Visitors and prospective members are welcome to attend.
CCLC country dance
The Child Care and Learning Center will hold its annual country dance featuring Trapezoid at the Washington Town Hall on Saturday, Jan. 28 from 8 to 11 p.m. Advance reservations are available through CCLC for $7. Admission at the door is $10. All proceeds will go to CCLC’s scholarship fund.—
Karate classes
Children’s karate classes have begun at the Child Care and Learning Center. Classes are fob children 6 years old and up. They are held Wednesdays 3:30 to 4:30 p:m. Fee is $80 for 15 sessions. Please call CCLC at 675-3237 for more information.
REAP teaching interviews

La Leche League meets
For mothers who have considered breastfeeding their baby but who have questions, contact the Culpeper La Leche League. This month’s meeting will be held on Thursday, Jan. 19 at 9:30 a.m. at 1905 Lamphier Street in Culpeper. For further information call (703) 6725727.
Warren Memorial offers free services
Diabetic Support Group meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Warren Memorial Hospital cafeteria.
Heart to Heart Club will meet Thursday, Jan. 19 at 7 p.m. in the conference room of the hospital.
The Stroke Support Group will meet the fourth Wednesday of each month in the Physical Therapy Department at 4 p.m. The Support Club is for those persons who have had a stroke and/or members of their families. This group is self-directed and its members have been sharing experiences and methods of coping with situations related to strokes. There is no charge for attending this meeting.
Free Blood Pressue screenings every Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. in the south lobby of the hospital.
The Cancer Support Group will meet on Thursday, Jan. 26 in the hospital conference room.
