Seminar at RCHS
As the Class of 1989 prepares for graduation, those intending to go on to college have many questions *bout how to pay for a college education.
At the same time, each year millions of dollars in scholarships, loans ; and work study grants and scholarships go unclaimed because students don’t apply for them.
In order to give parents and students information on how to get money for college, the Rappahannock County High School is sponsor-^ ing a workshop titled, “Money for College.” Debbie Harper, Director of Financial Aid for Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, will explain the numerous types of funding, where money is available, and how and when to apply for it.
The workshop will be held on ^Thursday, Jan. 12 at 1:15 p.m. in the library at RCHS. Parents of seniors and others interested in this program are strongly encouraged to attend, said James Futrell, the high school’s Director of Guidance.
“As a counselor,” Mr. Futrell added, “I feel that this is an important service to offer to our students and community. I hope that everyone will take advantage of this opportunity.”
