Mrs. Murphy was a native of Orange, N.J., the daughter of the late Andrew and Laura Ferguson Leask. She had lived in Etlan for many years.
Survivors include an aunt, Mrs. Mary Turton, Etlan; a cousin, Mrs. Jean Fedor, West Orange, N.J. Her husband was the late Daniel Joseph Murphy.
Funeral services were held at the Clore F uneral Home Chapel on Jan. 6 with the Rev. Robert Timperman officiating. Burial was in Etlan Cemetery, Etlan.

James Welford Smith, 79, of Front Royal died Jan. 4 in Warren Memorial Hospital.
