Mrs. Murphy was a native of Orange, N.J., the daughter of the late Andrew and Laura Ferguson Leask. She had lived in Etlan for many years.
Survivors include an aunt, Mrs. Mary Turton, Etlan; a cousin, Mrs. Jean Fedor, West Orange, N.J. Her husband was the late Daniel Joseph Murphy.
Funeral services were held at the Clore F uneral Home Chapel on Jan. 6 with the Rev. Robert Timperman officiating. Burial was in Etlan Cemetery, Etlan.

James Welford Smith, 79, of Front Royal died Jan. 4 in Warren Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Smith was born July 24, 1909, in Culpeper County, the son of the late William Franklin and May Noval Wright Smith. He was owner and operator of National Park Texaco and Sky Park Texaco service
