QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of general shop practices, diagnostic, and repair techniques; gasoline and diesel engines. Skill in performing mechanical repairs on engines, differentials, and other automotive and equipment components. Ability to: operate equipment, perform heavy manual labor, operate engine analyzer, welder, wheel balancer and other shop equipment; read, write and perform arithmetic calculations. Selected candidate will be required to become certified as a state inspector. Must possess a valid Virginia Operator’s license. Safety shoes are required in the performance of the above duties.
