When we think of “Oak Hill’ and all she meant to so many people in her lifetime, it is difficult to understand why she was taken from us.

I remember the first time Arthur and I saw “Oak Hill.” Both of us realized she was just like Cinderella waiting to be loved again.

And, so the dream began, for that was what it was; we didn’t buy a home, we bought a dream. With the help of family and friends, Arthur restored each room at “Oak Hill” to perfection.

Once again she stood stately and proud on the hill surrounded by the beauty we all share living in Rappahannock County.
