To the editor:

As your reader’s know, the RAAC movie program has been in a state of some confusion over the past few weeks because of the negotiations with Gay St. Theatre owner Wendy Weinberg for the use of the theatre.

Though there is now no lease for RAAC’s regular use of the theatre, and we are now searching for alternate space for some of our programs, Mrs. Weinberg, in an effort to provide a continuing presence of the movies in the community has agreed to a short term use of the property at only a token cost to RAAC. There are some problems and inconveniences to each party in this arrangement in the long term, but for the moment, at least, movies continue and the theatre will be used.

We hope that the public as well as RAAC membership will respond positively. Rappahannock is unique
