Also, congratulations to Lee and ’ Lori Anderson who proudly announce the birth of their daughter Linda Grey, born at Fauquier Hos. pital on Jan. 29. She weighed nine pounds, five ounces. The paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. William Anderson of Amissville. The maternal grandparents are Pete and Charlotte Laws of Catlett.
The community was saddened to learn that Amissville Baptist pastor Rev. Tom Everett received orders to report to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina on Feb. 13. He is a chaplain in the U.S. Navy Reserves. His tour will be for a minimum of one year. Last Sunday, the congregation had a covered dish dinner in his honor.
Congratulations to Sheila Scott who was honored recently as Rappahannock County’s “Outstanding Rescue Squadperson of the Year.”
Russell and Susan Dodson are glad to have son Rusty home from Children’s Hospital after an accident.
Kyle and Donna Dodson of Bowie, MD were dinner guests on Feb. 2 of his mother, Mrs. Elsie Dodson in Rixeyville.
Around the village, Glenda and Randy Gum, along with daughters Kristin and Kady, traveled to Pound, Virginia weekend before last to attend the sixteenth birthday cel- ebration of Glenda’s niece, Tonja Wells. They spent the weekend with Glenda’s sister, Lynette Wells, and Ralph and Buddy Wells. Glenda’s parents, Betty and Denzil Canfield of NC also were present.
Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Smith spent ' the weekend in Baker, WV.
