For the third year, students of classical languages at Wakefield School in Huntly attended the Virginia Junior Classical League (VJCL) Convention. Thirty-four students from the school joined approximately 1,600 other students in grades seven through 12 from across the state for the convention in Richmond.
Statewide, the JCL numbers more than 5,000 members in 117 chapters. 100 of those chapters were represented at this year’s convention. Each chapter is allowed to bring one-third of its membership.
