Mike Burns Jr. celebrated his sixth birthday with a party on Saturday night with family and friends. He dearly loves trains and was excited to receive a book on trains and of course a toy train.
Special appreciation is expressed to Anne and Frank McWhirt of Chestnut Hill Christmas Tree Farm, comer of U.S. 211 and Rt. 611. They donated a tree to the fire house, one to the Baptist Church and two to the Methodist Church. They have an. abundance of trees this year. Call them at 937-5461.
On Sunday Forest Grove Baptist Church dedicated stained glass windows in the vestibule in member of Mr. Elmer Jenkins. It was made possible through the generosity of his family and friends. He was a deacon and trustee and had been a member for over 50 years.

It's a boy!
Randy and Teresa Williams of Chester Gap are proud to announce the birth of their first child, a son, Jacob Anthony, on Saturday, Nov. 9 at Winchester Medical Center.
Jacob weighed eight pounds and was 201/2 inches long.
Grandparents are Albert and Edith Williams of Chester Gap and Betty Tyree of Schuyler, Va.
