Bloodmobile:

To the Editor:
The Rappahannock County Extension Homemaker Clubs want to thank all the donors who supported the American Red Cross Bloodmobile on Dec. 4. We reached the goal for Red Cross. We had 37 donors and collected 33 pints of blood.
The E.H. Clubs also wish to publicly thank the Washington Fire Department for letting us use their building for the Bloodmobile. One member always goes early to build a fire (which we needed on Dec. 4 when the weather was cold and crisp) and several members of the fire department and rescue squad are faithful blood donors who participate every time.
On Dec. 4 we had three new firsttime donors.
We’d also like to thank our own E.H. members who donated their time to work the Bloodmobile and prepare refreshments.
The E.H. Clubs sponsor the Bloodmobile twice a year as a community service project. It takes a lot of people to make it successful: the E.H. members, the Fire Department, the Rappahannock News for publicity, and—most of all—the donors. Whether you were a new firsttime donor or an “old-faithful” who comes every time, please know that we appreciate your participation and we hope you can come again in May. We promise warmer weather!
