Fruit pick-up set Those who ordered fruit from the Rappahannock High School band, chorus or seventh graders may pick-up their fruit at the Rappahannock Farmers Co-op from 3:30-5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13 and 8 a. m.-noon Saturday, Dec. 14. Christmas banquet The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual Christmas dinner and awards banquet at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21. The meat, bread and beverages will be provided and everyone is asked to bring a covered dish. All current members, life members and volunteers and their families who helped with fundraising activities during the year are invited. Entertainment will be provided after dinner.

Help for abusers, victims Services for Abused Families Inc. of Culpeper sponsors weekly support groups for abusers and the victims of domestic violence. A group for women with relationship problems meets at 6:30 p.m. each Wednesday and a similar group for men with problems including anger and violence meets at 6:30 p.m. each Monday.
