Services to Abused Families, Incorporated (SAFE) is presently running a raffle, reaching the counties it serves: Rappahannock, Madison, Fauquier, Orange and Culpeper.
A hand made Sunbonnet Sue quilt was donated to SAFE by Our Savior Lutheran Church in Warrenton to be raffled to benefit SAFE. The quilt has been displayed and tickets sold at various businesses around Culpeper, and at club and organization meetings. Butch Davies will be drawing the winning ticket in a private drawing on Dec. 23.
The proceeds from the raffle are earmarked to pay for a security fence for SAFE’S new Transition House. The house, which is in a confidential location, houses homeless victims of domestic violence who are
