Missions Day speaker
Edith Vaughn, career missionary for Southern Baptists to Brazil . for over 30 years is keynote speaker for Missions Day at F.T. for the 11 a.m. worship service, Sunday, Jan. 10. . . For the last two thirds of her ministry, she was a church planter and evangelist in the Northern Interior of Brazil. Working alone much >of the time, she brings a marvelous testimony of the power of God ' working through an obedient vessel.
Raised in Pulaski, Va., and presently a member of the First Baptist Church there, she still continues an active and productive ministry. Since retirement, Sunday mornings find her most anywhere she is invited. By most mid-afternoons she makes her way back to Roanoke where she works with the Portugese speaking Brazilian Baptist Church. Miss Vaughn started this church with support from Brazilian Roanokers shortly after her retirement. .
