Although the county owns the old Town Hall adjoining the courthouse property, Mr. McCarthy said the supervisors do not want to convert it to office space now. “Some time in the next three to four years 1 believe we are going to have to convert the old Town Hall into a new courtroom,” he explained.
"The last time we renovated the existing courtroom we were under significant pressure from the judges to do so,", he said. “If that building is converted to offices now, when the time comes to add a courtroom it will be very difficult to move those offices on short notice,” he added.
