For the attorney general the scrap with Wilder is a two-edged sword. The plus side is that it allows her to portray herself as a vigorous defender of the state pension fund and one who is strong and independent minded. On the negative side, her actions create a danger that Ms. Terry will find herself battling a black either for the nomination or an independent in the general election.
