Frances Dodson

Frances Corbin Dodson, 61, of Culpeper, died Friday, Jan. 1 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.

Mrs. Dodson was born in Madison on April 13, 1930, the daughter of Addadline Corbin of Culpeper and the late Wesley Corbin.

She was retired from the Madison Health Department and her husband was the late George Benson Dodson.

Survivors in addition to her mother include three children, Tammy Corbin of Madison, Shelia Tanner of Orange and Mary Frances Corbin of Culpeper; four brothers, Daniels Corbin and Everette Corbin, both of Culpeper, John Corbin of Flint Hill and Marvin Corbin of Madison; six sisters, Betty Tharpe, Lillie Virginia Corbin and Louise Corbin, all of Culpeper, Ella Nicholson of Warrenton, Bessie B. Nicholson of Madison and Margaret Hitt of Orange and six grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Sunday, Jan. 3 at CloreFuneral Home Chapel in Culpeper with Chuck Shifflett officiating. Interment was in Bethsaida Methodist Church Cemetery in Madison.
