Icy roads caused several accidents last week. According to Sgt. D.S. Adams of the Virginia State Police one patch of ice on Route 604 between U.S.|52Z and Slate Mills caused two accidents on Dec. 28.

About 45 minutes later Dana R. - Kilby, 19, of Boston lost control of a 1980 Buick on the same patch of ice. She slid off the road on the other side and also struck a tree, doing about $1,500 damage to tl»e Buick.
