Ust’s stop the “Bad Rap” on the Town Council. Yes, the reporting of the street lighting debate has, indeed, reached “epidemic proportions of absurdity.” The debate itself, conducted by the Council, could be similarly judged had it been lacking in certain key elements of vitally important evidence that have been, so far, ignored in the reporting thereof:

1) The chosen design was originally suggested by a nationally recognized staff lighting engineer of the National Museum of American History (Smithsonian) who is familiar with our Town from his many visits, here, and w’ho also recommended the state-of-the-art technology that the design incorporates.

2) The seven member lighting committee included all five members of the Architectural Review Board
