scholarship to Chowan College in Murfreesboro, North Carolina. She plans to major in elementary and special education.
She played volleyball and softball at Rappahannock and plans to continue doing so at Chowan. For the past two years she has been captain of the volleyball team. She has also been president of her junior and senior classes and is president of the SCA this year and vice president of the National Honor Society. She attended Girls State last summer.
“I’m nervous about college; it’s a new experience,” she said. Still she added, “I’m eager to see what’s out there.” She said she will miss her family and friends and “the security of familiar surroundings and knowing where I’m going.”
