At last Friday’s assembly to give out academic awards, high school Principal John Toth noted that recognitions for athletes come freqently throughout the school year, but those who “give service to their school in academic areas” are usually only recognized at the end of the school year. ■ Frieda Herman recognized the officers of the National Honor Society and introduced next year’s officers: President Leah Marlett, vice president Tucker Rogers, secretary Steve Ralls, and treasurer Tracy Hitt.
