The City of Winchester Department of Social Services is seeking applicants for Senior Social Worker. Responsibilities include performing difficult professional work assessing client needs; developing and implementing service plans; providing crisis intervention and counseling; conducting foster care and adoptive placement process, adoptive investigations, home studies, ahd resource development; handles complex cases of suspected abuse/neglect cases; participating in court proceedings. Knowledge of family dynamics, child development, ability to communicate and establish effective working relationships with clients, coworkers, and general public required. Bachelor's degree in human services, valid driver's license and rotating on-call 24 hrs/day required. Experience in foster care desired.
