TRANSPORTATION ENGINEER #09068 - Culpeper. Performs technical studies on highway planning and evaluates land use changes. Prepares written reviews and recommendations, represents VDOT at governmental meetings, assists in coordinating planning programs, and meets with local officials. Coordinates VDOT's review of County comprehensive plans, works with VDOT employees and County representatives, and ensures timely project completion. Reviews and makes recommendations on subdivision and site plans, ensures compatability of future projects, and provides safe roadways during the interim. Requires knowledge of the following as related in transportation planning: standard engineering/planning principles, transportation modes, and automated engineenng/planmng systems. Ability to apply standard engineering/planning principles, analyze data and draw conclusions, communicate effectively, and review the work of others. Degree in civil engineering, transportation planning or related field. Salary: $28,089 - $42,888.

HIGHWAY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR B: Culpeper Residency - #12509~Madison Area Headquarters & #17596-State Force Construction & Warrenton Residency -#04717 -Washington Area Headquarters, #01180 -Marshall Area Headquarters & #10134 - Warrenton Area Headquarters. Individuals to operate and maintain medium duty highway equipment, such as graders, loaders, dozers, tandem dump trucks & backhoes in the construction, repair & maintenance of roads and right of ways. Performs heavy manual labor; leads and instructs personnel in operating equipment & performing road maintenance duties & complete reports on hours worked and materials used. Must know safety practices and regulations; be skilled in operating & maintaining medium duty highway equipment; be able to lead and instruct others and complete reports; possess safety shoes and a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Salary: $15,055 - $22,987.

HIGHWAY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR C #17590 • Warrenton Residency. Individual to operate and maintain medium and heavy duty highway equipment, such as dozers, motor graders, rubber tire loaders, 3-ton dump trucks & pans in the construction, repair & maintenance of roads and right or ways. Perform heavy manual labor; leads and instructs personnel in operating equipment and performing road maintenance duties; & completes reports on hours worked and materials used. Must know safety practices and regulations; be skilled in operating & maintaining medium and heavy duty highway equipment; be able to lead and instruct others and complete reports; possess safety shoes and a Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Salary: $16,458 -$25,129.
