She said that normally a bucket of dechlorination tablets lasts seven days, but in these heavy flows, a bucket only lasts two days.

She reminded WSA members that under the “consent order” filed with the Department of Environmental Quality the authority has until September 30 to complete repairs to the distribution system. A quarterly report on progress made must be sent by April 1. WSA members agreed they would like to be able to report that the three worst installations had been fixed in that report.
