Robertson for the judgeship, saying he “has e"xfflbited the highest degree of dedication to his community” and has served “in an exemplary fashion exhibiting integrity and ability.”
Judge Robertson could not be reached for comment on Monday and Tuesday.
To fill Judge Robertson’s Circuit Court seat, the Rappahannock Bar Association is endorsing Douglas Baumgardner, a Washington, Va., attorney.
Mr. Baumgardner said, “It’s an opportunity to be of serv ice and a natural extension of w hat I’ve been doing for the past 19 years.”
He continued, “The Circuit Court handles a wide variety of civil and criminal cases. The litigation 1 have beert involved with has taken in these types of cases.” On the civil side, he said, he has involved in cases involving automobile i.wjnigence, zoning and condemnation
