Joseph Garber
Joseph Daniel Garber, 82, resident of Royal Haven Rest Home on Criser Road, died Sunday, Jan. 29.
Before moving to Royal Haven in April 1990, Joe Garber was a resident in Front Royal since 1979. Originally from the valley of Virginia, he spent much of his life in Browning, Montana, near Glacier National Park where he worked as an agent with the Department of Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs.
He was adopted by the Blackfeet Indian tribe and named “F.agie Chief.” later, he transferred to Wyoming near Yellowstone National Park where he continued his work with the Bureau of Indian Affairs with he Arapaho and^kS+ioshone Indians.
Joe joined the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite of Free Masonry and Eastern Star in Lander, Wy. he was past master of his lodge there.
Since his move to Front Royal, he was active in the Unity Lodge #146, the Royal Arch Chapter #45, and Commandry #12 of Winchester. He r=*w-.
