The varsity volleyball team won some very hard fought games against Manassas Park on Monday night. The scores were 15-5, 13-15 and 1511.
Coach Laura Conklin said that Jo Tole’s spikes have really improved and that she now likes to start her on the front line instead of as first server. Katja Valtonen also played really well, said Coach Conklin. It was also the first night the w'hole team had played together, with nobody out sick.
The team lost to Page last week, 10-15,4-15.
The junior varsity beat Page 1510, 15-7, and lost to Manassas Park 715, 15-13, 15-17.
Coach Liz Hollie said that it felt really good to beat Page on their turf after giving them a game last time, "They really played together as a team,” she said.
Of the game against Manassas Park, she said, "The second game was unbelievable. There were a lot of times when Manassas Park could have gone on and we stopped them.”
