Amissville Ruritan Club is fortunate to have received many excellent items including antiques, for the auction at 6:30 p.m. Friday night, Dec. 1 at the Ruritan Building at Stuart Field, located on Carter's Lane, between the Methodist Church and Hackley’s Store, ofTU.S. 211.

The Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company will sponsor a dance from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2 featuring the band, Laredo. For more details call Shelia Scott at 937-4357.
Amissville United Methodist Church will dedicate 120 new pew Bibles on Sunday, Dec. 3, during the 11 a.m. worship service. These have been donated by the congregation and the pastor. Many were given in honor or memory of loved ones. Others are simply presented to the church as a gift.
In Amissville Baptist news, the teen age missions group “Acteens” will leave at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3 to go Christmas Caroling at Overlook Nursing Home.
