I'm Lost
To the Editor:
Being unable to speak for myself, I have chosen this way to communicate to you. I am a long hairedHimalayan cat. I am 8 months old, very friendly and very loving; also very confused.
You see my home is in Chester Gap and it is a wonderful home. My family is very loving and they have always taken wonderful care of me. And I know they miss me just as much as I miss them.
On the day of election, which would have been Nov. 7, I went out for a walk and no doubt got a little further away then I planned and became confused because now when I look around nothing seems to be familiar to me.
I was a gift to my mom from a dear friend from Germany, and I know she (mom) misses me because 1 was always told how sweet I was and what a great little guy I am, you know, all that stuff that sounds really mushy but sure makes you feel good.
Well, in order to protect me my mom went out and bought me a bright purple collar and a green identification tag with my phone number on it. And if you look at my face you will see that I have one tooth that juts out from the rest of my teeth. My mom said that that was my own personal identification mark (you know how moms are).
I want so badly to be reunited with my family again, but I’m afraid I need your help. So, if you have found me could you please call mom and tell her that I’m coming home. I just know it will make her as happy as it will make me. Our phone number is 635-1545; she is listening every day for the phone to ring.

Wrestle!
To the Editor:
Last Monday afternoon, 25 local youth met in the Rappahannock County Elementary School gym to initiate an exciting sport that’s new to our community — wrestling. It was a promising first day of practice!
We would be remiss if we did not take time to thank those who have supported us financially in his endeavor: The Robert M. Darby Foundation, The Rappahannock Lions Club, The Rappahannock Athletic Boosters, Bob and Trish Darby, Laurel Mills Store, Frances Thornton and Mountainside Market.
