Nyrma Rixey
Nyrma Lastre Rixey, 74, of Culpeper, died on Friday, Nov. 24, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 5, 1921, in Victoria de la Tunas, Cuba to the late Ramone Lastre and Elisa Lastre.
Mrs. Rixey was a member of the Culpeper United Methodist Church. She made a number of friendships through her seamstress work in Culpeper which she started in 1963.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Clarence J. Rixey; two daughters, Natacha Heintz of Golaid, Texas and Tanya Coffey of Boston, Va., and one son, Rodney Rixey of Midlothian.
She is also survived by two sisters, Nydia Westbury of Florida and Nerta Cofiece of Atlanta, Ga. and five grandchildren.
Mrs. Rixey was preceded in death by one son, Norman Presley Ffixey.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Nov. 27, at Found & Sons Chapel with the Rev. Robert J. Donnelly officiating. Interment followed in the Culpeper National Cemetery. Pallbearers were Billy Partlow, Ronnie Johnson, Tommy Clark, Sgt. William Doyle, Lee Hart and R.M. Reynolds.
