In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, James Elvis Nicholson and Russell Lee Nicholson, both of Front Royal, two daughters, Doris Nicholson Vest of Flint Hill and Linda Nicholson Sours of Strasburg; a brother, Sam Nicholson of Brightwood and two sisters, Dorothy Jenkins and Marie Clore, both of Madison.
Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held on Moirday, Nov. 27 at the Etlan Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Clinedinst.
Bradley Funeral Home in Luray was in charge of the arrangements.
C. Hawkins, Sr.
Clinton Hawkins, Sr., 87, of Slate Mills, died on Friday, Nov. 24, at his residence.
He was bom on March 20, 1908, to the late John M. and Agnes Jane Hawkins.
He served in the U.S. Army in the Battle of the Bulge during World War II, was a past member of the Salem Ruritan Club, was a member of the Culpeper American Legion Post 330 and was a member of the Culpeper V.F.W. Post 2524.
He is survived by his son, Clinton L. Hawkins, Jr. of Annandale.
Funeral services were held on, Tuesday, Nov. 28, at Found & Sons Chapel with the Rev. John Burke offi:iating. Interment with military honars followed in Fairview Cemetery.
