years for a new computer. The council approved the lease of a new copy machine not to exceed $150 a month.

Changes to the town’s budget will be advertised and discussed at the January meeting.

The problem of overdue water bills was discussed. Six of the bills are the most serious, totalling between $1,000 and $1,200. Ms. Van Dort said that most of the bills show a water usage way above the minimum amount and that the people may have leaks. Mayor Willis suggested sending a letter to work out a payment arrangement,'and said he would send out a letter after the first of the year to contact the people who have seriously overdue bills.

The next meeting of the Town Futures Committee will be with the Washington Business Council at the Town Hall on Jan. 5 at 7:30 p.m.
