The Library Board’s December meeting was the last for Mary Jamieson as a member of the board. Celine Siira will be taking her seat on the board in January.
Mrs. Jamieson has been very involved in the library for years. She was involved in the founding of the library when it first opened with donated books and volunteer help in Washington. She and her husband Jamie were deeply involved in raising the funds to build the replacement library on the edge of town.
“It’s become part of my life,” she said last week.
Member Frank Warner said, “I have long since come to recognize her service and dedication to the board. I came on as a young whippersnapper. I -realize there are people who have given a lifetime of time and treasure to the board. We didn’t have a library
