The future of an auxiliary building the Rappahannock Animal Welfare League constructed next to the animal Shelter is clouded.

The building was paid for with donations to the organization. It was supposed to double the number of dogs that could be kept at the shelter.

Building inspector Richie Burke said he first became aware,of the -ffimilriing when he was called to advise on electricity for the building. The group had not applied for a building permit.
