Folks in Rappahannock County and surrounding areas can celebrate the holiday season in spectacular fashion this year by visiting the “Holiday of Lights” -a 2-1/2 mile route of animated light displays in Bull Run Regional Park in Centreville. From now through Jan. 7th visitors can drive through the “Holiday of Lights” route - the largest of its kind in Virginia - and see such sights as the Wildlife Playground, Frosty the Snowman at the North Pole, the Elves’ Workshop, Candy land, and Toy land. Many of the displays actually move - bringing the park to life.
The show uses over 150,000 lights and needs 750,000 watts to light the displays. The Washington Monument needs only 50,000 watts and the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials use one fourth to one half of the Washington Monument amount. The show consists of dozens of miles of wiring to 25 different
