early last Saturday morning when he ran off Route 621 in Woodville and struck a tree. He was wearing his seat belt, but his 1991 Ford pickup sustained $3,500 damage. State Trooper Sean Knick charged Mr. Palmer with reckless driving.
Louis Gerald Zindel, 18, of Amissville, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence by State Trooper T.A. Downs last Sunday. Mr. Zindel ran off the road and struck a fence with his 1983 Volvo on Route 729 in Amissville, 2.3 miles south of U.S. 211 around 1 a.m. The car sustained $2,000 damage but no injuries were reported.
Commonwealth’s Attorney Peter Luke received the written autopsy report last Thursday on Ernest Fletcher, who died last March 4. The report shows that Mr. Fletcher died of natural causes and not as a result of the fight he was in with Roy Wayne Sisk last January 1.
