He had to knock off some calculus, which is a build-up of bacteria, off the teeth of another horse there, which he also did floating on. During the afternoon, he made four more stops around the county doing routine filing.
Mr. Pankow studied animal science and graduated from the University of Maine. He learned most of his trade on the job, and his wife Ann, who now keeps busy with her store Horse n’ Hound in Flint Hill, worked with him for six years. He is a member of the Equine Dental Technicians’ Association, is on their board, and heads up its certification program. The association holds annual conferences for continuing education.
Mr. Pankow lives in Flint Hill with his wife and their two daughters (the youngest one was. bom just last Saturday). /
