On Friday evening, April 5 Mrs. Linda McArthur of Oaksville, Tenn. and Craig Messner of Salt Lake City, Utah hosted a 50th wedding anniversary party for their parents, Walden and Hazel Messner, at the Riverboat Restaurant in Salt Lake City. Hazel is a former resident of Rappahannock County.
Mrs. Loretta Lee had surgery at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton on Sunday. We wish her a speedy recovery.
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Carroll of Powhatan were Saturday luncheon guests of Mr; and Mrs. Edward M. Clark.
Tim Falls had the misfortune to get kicked by a bull in which two bones were broken in his right hand.
Our condolences to Mrs. Edna Vaught and the family in Front Royal on the passing of their sister Mrs. Elizabeth Mitchell. Mrs. Mitchell is also a cousin of Ruth Clark.
