Book Fair Planned

Rappahannock County Elementary School Library is hosting a Scholastic Book Fair from 8; 15 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 18-25, and until 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23.

This reading event features the newest titles over 100 publishers and presents students, parents and teachers a golden opportunity to see the latest works by popular authors and illustrators of books for young readers.

Don’t miss the Scholastic Book Fair coming to RCES on April 1825. Admission is free! Call 987-8259 for more information.

May Day Celebration Set

The public is invited to the traditional May Day Celebration at Spring Mountain School from 12 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 4. Along with the May Pole Dance; there will be rides, games, food, entertainment and crafts. Artists and craftsmen interested in selling their wares can call the school at 675-1458.

Spring Event Scheduled

The Washington Baptist Church Spring Event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 27. Events will include a silent auction, plant sale, bake goods, Grandma’s Attic, and lots of good food and drinks.

Auction To Be Held

Dance Scheduled

The Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company will sponsor a dance from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturday, April 20. The group will be River Bottom. You must be 21 years of age or older to attend. A dress code is required. For more information call Sheila Scott at 927-4357.

Survivors Group To Meet

The Lone and Laughter Cancer Survivors Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17 at Rappahannock Realty in Flint Hill. For additional information call Esther at 675-3252.

Miss Rappahannock Pageant Set

Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad will spbnsfir their annual Miss Rappahannock pageant at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 20 at Rappahannock Elementary School.

Rehearsal for the pageant is at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16. Female residents of Rappahannock County between the ages of 2-19 are eligible to participate in the pageant. Male residents of Rappahannock County between the ages of 2-6 are eligible to participate in Little Mr. Rappahannock. Special events include the Sisters category and the Mother/Daughter category.
